House league hockey starts in October with an initiation program of about six 45 minutes on ice sessions.

For the first year the WMHA 1999-2000 season has 8AI or tiered hockey for those interested (this was previously referred to as Mighty Mites). It is not mandatory and tryouts will be in the 7-8 year old house league.

Tier Hockey: For children ages 9 and above, is a "tiering" of players according to ability as demonstrated at tryout seasons to establish the appropriate level.
